My name is Carissa and I live in Northern Minnesota with my husband, Caleb, and chocolate lab, Cara.  We currently live in town, but hope to build our dream home in the country in a few years!  I spend the majority of my free time outside when possible… preferably digging in the dirt or watering one of my many gardens, painting my walls for the hundredth time, and working on or coming up with my next project!  I love to scour the internet for ideas and DIY and then attempt to make them my own. Not all of them work out but it’s fun to try!

I am also registered nurse.  The past couple of years have proven that we all need to spend as much time as possible doing what makes us happy.  For me, that’s plants.  Lots and LOTS of plants.  Also spending time with close friends and family in a home that is welcoming and comfortable both inside and out.  My husband and I both love to host.  We spent much of quarantine times talking about how when we build our dream home we need this or that for when people come over!  He is extremely social and I am not so much, but I have a close group of friends and our families that we both love to spend time with!

At this point, I feel like I may be starting to ramble… sorry!  Overall, my hope is to spend more time doing and documenting what I love while (hopefully) connecting with others who are interested in the same things.  Do what makes you happy, right?!  Again, I am so happy to be here and I am very grateful that you are joining in!
