Pothos plants are also called “Devil’s Ivy.” These beautiful houseplants are very hard to kill, so they make an ideal houseplant for beginners and experience plant parents alike. They come in a multiple variations which includes but is not limited to Marble Queen, Golden, and Silver Lady. The different varieties have different looking leaves.

I purchased my first Pothos plant while I was in college and loved it! I recently began propagating my plants and I’m tempted to have a few in each room of my house due to their full look and how easy they are to grow! I also like how they can trail down a pot, table, or shelf!

Please note this information is based on my own experience as well as numerous credible sources, particularly the pet/child safety! My chocolate lab, Cara and I don’t personally taste test any not-for-food plants and monitor for reactions!
This is one of my favorite houseplants for decorating! Pothos are stunning when allowed to trail down from a table or shelf! If you propagate them, I recommend including numerous cuttings in a single pot for a fuller appearance. If you don’t like how far they trail and don’t want more, you can cut them off where you want and simply discard your cuttings. Be sure to not cut off too much at a time as that may stress out your plant. I have never cut more than 1/3 of a single stem at a time. So far, I haven’t had issues with overly stressed Pothos!
Are you convinced you should become a houseplant parent yet? If you are on the fence, this is great option! You can also check out some of the other featured plants on the blog to see if there are others that may better fit your taste! However, this is a great option and one of my favorites! 🙂
